We have been given a set of photographs taken in perhaps the late 1950’s or early 60’s of people in Higham at social functions. These include a dance in the old nissen-hut style Memorial Hall; activities on the ‘rec; carnival floats and stalls; Miss Higham competition winners etc.. We have no information about these pictures and would like your help to try and identify the people, events and dates.  Two examples of the photographs are shown here.

The pictures have been displayed in Higham Library, Forge Lane in November 2006.  Also, the photographs were on display at our 30th November 2006 evening meeting.
